#WCW Poetry – Dear Stranger

Dear Stranger

I saw him from afar and my heart paused.

The sparkle in his eyes kicked me into another realm.

For a second I was drawn into my own fantasy world.

Damn his stature was just the perfect size.

The one I always wanted and yearned for.

When he smiled that was the end of me.

Was it a coincidence or maybe fate?

But anyway, I love the scene from where I am standing.

Your presence made my heart stop and race at the same time.

The tingling feeling inside my heart I never felt before.

Goddamn I loved the way you made me feel.

I think your main purpose was to resuscitate my heart.

The heart that was once wounded is showing a glimpse of life.

Black and hard as a stone but now it’s soft like young baby’s bottom.

It is true guardian angels exist, and you, my dear stranger you mine.

I know you not mine to keep, but thank you for bringing life back to my dry bones.

So I will leave you be and just enjoy the view from afar.

Although I will never see again, you will always be special to me dear stranger.

You may not know I exist but just know that you changed this poor soul’s life.

Dear stranger, I just thought I should put our encounter on paper.
