The Jameson Victoria Falls Carnival returns this year with the promise of more entertainment and merrymaking as per usual delivery running from the 29th to the 31st of December with a New Year’s Party where revelers will dance their way into 2017. This is one music festival that has never been known to disappoint when it comes to the acts and activities. Festival goers are assured all round fun at this ‘official shutdown party’ of the year.

This year South African artists are lead headliners with a line-up that promises to bring the house down. Locnville is a duo of twin brothers, Andrew and Brian Chaplin. These guys do a fusion of Pop, Electro and Hip Hop and their third studio album Taste the Weekend was released in June and has since received a lot of excitement, with some of their videos on high rotation both  on Trace and Channel O. Another headliner is Sketchy Bongo, a Durban based producer who has a single which features Shekinah and Kyle Deutsch, Back to the Beach break the charts. He brings his hip hop and electro-pop feel to the carnival. The Kiffness a live electronic duo from Cape Town is also headlining  these guys are pure fire. They have performed at OppiKoppi and Rocking The Daisies making them seasoned festival artists; and as if that’s not enough they have also racked two SAMA nominations in 6 years. We expect some grand live electro and a great performance from these Capetonians!

Then again the Carnival is not just about the music but the setting itself. The Falls, the bridge, the game parks, Victoria falls is a hive of fun activities and when fused with what the Carnival brings its pure magic and unforgettable stories. The famous Train Party which involves a 20 minute train ride deep into the bush to a secret location where turning up will not be an option but a need! The final party on the 31st of December will be something to look forward to with fire-eaters and stilt walkers plus awesome DJs to help you usher in 2017.

More acts will be announced as the dates draw nearer (we especially can’t wait to hear the Zim line-up)but for now make sure that your bookings are in order for the Carnival. Ticket prices are way cheaper than last year…
